Please note: this guide is not exact and varies from system to system depending on your software vendor.
- Hit the key combination CTRL + SHIFT + ESC
- This key combination will open TASK MANAGER from Windows. Once in Task Manager, move on to step 2.
- This step we cannot provide an exact example for, as we do not have a copy of every vendor's software. In simple terms, end the task of the software in Task Manager; this could be something like 'vista.exe' or it could be something else, please reach out to your software vendor for support if needed.
- Hover over 'File,' which will bring up a drop down that will allow you to hit 'Run new task'
- This will open another ox, once you see the box move on to step 3.
- Select the box next to 'Open:' and type 'explorer.exe'
- Once explorer.exe opens you should be able to view the Widnows desktop. You can use the Windows Search feature to search for Microsoft Edge, or find the icon on the Desktop. You can also use Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Vivaldi, or whatever other browser is installed on the system.
- Visit the website https://touchmateusa.screenconnect.com
- You will see place to type a code underneath 'Join with a Code'; type in the code provided by your Support Agent in that field.
- Click the arrow next to the number you typed.
- Once you hit the arrow, ScreenConnect will ask you if you want to download a program; select 'open' at the bottom of Edge (it may be in a different location if you are using a different browser)
- Now you can allow our Support Agent to remotely control the system!
You have now downloaded and installed ScreenConnect!
